Northwood College for Girls is an independent, academically selective day school for approximately 840 girls aged 3-18.  Located in North West London, most of our pupils come from professional or business backgrounds with a wide catchment area which encompasses parts of the North London, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex community.

The school is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust and offers:

Teachers are expected to have a suitable degree and teaching qualification, unless their experience and further training makes them qualified to teach a subject they did not initially study to degree level.

Northwood College is seeking to appoint a talented, creative and inspiring Director of Sport to take up appointment, ideally from January 2019.  This post holder has overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of sports and PE across the school and incorporates the coordination of extra-curricular activities within the school.

SUPPORT STAFF VACANCIES

TEACHING ASSISTANT/NURSERY NURSE

For September 2018

Northwood College Junior School are seeking a well-qualified, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to play a complementary and supporting role in encouraging pupils in their learning and the acquisition of skills. A temporary Nursery Nurse is also required for the Early Years Department from November 2018.  These posts are for 36 hours per week, term time only and are on the GDST Support Staff Pay Scale 3 (£17,835.84 – £23,131.31 pro rata figure for TTO)

Candidates need to hold NVQ Level 3 or NNEB qualifications or the equivalent.  Commitment to the wider school life is expected.

SCHOOL NURSE (PART-TIME)

For September 2018

Northwood College for Girls is seeking to appoint an experienced School Nurse; and require a highly motivated, enthusiastic nurse to share responsibility for the health care of all pupils; health education and managing the medical centre.  This is a part-time post working 2 days per week, term time only (Thursdays and Fridays) – flexibility with days may be required.

The successful candidate must have a relevant nursing qualification, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clear empathy and understanding.  Experience is an educational environment and with compliance would be desirable.
