Please note that the parents and fee-payers of the incoming cohort of Year 11 and above in GDST schools will have to pay public exam fees when they reach the summer term of 2024, alongside the summer term fees. This will be a transparent additional charge for the actual cost of the number and type of subjects being sat at GCSE, IGCSE, BTEC, AS and A-levels, tailored for each student. Currently the typical range is between £400 to £600 for GCSE students and £350 to £500 for A-level students. This will be applied to all future Year 11-13 students from 2024 onwards.  Recipients of a means-tested bursary will not be required to pay exam fees if they receive an award of 50% or higher, with a pro-rata reduction applied in-line with their assessed award for those on lower award levels.
