At Northwood College we are unashamedly ambitious for every student and we all value the importance of getting to know each individual child.
Our Head, Rebecca Brown, dedicates time in her schedule to share her love of history with Junior School students, and teachers a regular weekly lesson to both our Year 7 and Sixth Form cohorts. Mrs Brown views each Assembly as another great opportunity to resonate with, and positively influence, our girls – always striving to inspire them to aim high and dream big.

This episode epitomises the messages of Mrs Brown’s Remembrance Day Assembly. She revisits the devastation of the German Blitz and the destruction of St Michael’s Cathedral in Coventry and explains how its shattered walls have been transformed into a timeless symbol of reconciliation and hope.
This Remembrance Day, we pause to remember the sacrifices of the past, but also the call to peace that echoes through generations. “Where there is hatred, let me bring love. Where there is discord, let me bring union. Where there is despair, let me bring hope. Where there is darkness, let me bring light.”
