WELCOME TO OUR NEW SIXTH FORM PAVILION!

WELCOME TO OUR NEW SIXTH FORM PAVILION!

After many months of planning and research with both our design and our build partners, Envoplan and Life Build, followed by full consultation with our Sixth Form students and finally, an extensive repurposing and renovation programme – we are delighted to announce that our beautiful new Pavilion is open and being thoroughly enjoyed by our girls. Here is what they had to say about their stunning new space:

“My favourite bit is the whole building; I just love it.”

“I love the greenery, it is beautiful and it makes me feel motivated to work.”

“It is a great vibrant study space.”

“I am so excited to use our Pavilion, it makes us feel independent and proud to be Sixth Formers.”

“It is comforting with the architecture, but also the best place to be inspired to work.”

“I am so looking forward to taking care of the beautiful plants.”

“It is such a grown up space, it is really gorgeous.”

The ambitious renovation began with the stripping of the existing building and demolishment of its interior walls to create huge open plan study and social zones.

Next was installation of a bespoke flooring design and an acoustic ceiling raft with inbuilt feature lighting and sound system.

The new kitchenette includes a central wigwam style ‘collaboration’ table, sumptuous sofas, rugs and cushions, and a highlight of the study zone is the booths for quiet independent and group study.

Doors lead out onto a stylish terrace balcony which has been constructed to encourage the girls to relax between their studies in the fresh air.

A redesigned stairwell features the girls’ very own light up slogan: ‘Don’t wish for it, work for it’.

Downstairs is home to a new Careers Library/study space and a fully fitted Fitness Suite. The girls are thrilled with their new Fitness Suite, which includes sixteen individual stations and provides a range of state of the art cardio machines and resistance machines, all of which bask in the light of a bespoke LED skyline ceiling.

Elegantly designed offices provide calm and tranquil space for the Sixth Form team to offer the girls support, advice and guidance during this extremely busy stage of their school careers.

Director of Finance and Operations, Mr Brown said: “Our objective was to create the perfect working environment for our Sixth Formers and I am delighted to say that this build has exceeded all expectations.

It is a joy to visit the Sixth Form Pavilion, at times it is filled with laughter as the girls enjoy their coffees and relax in comfort and at other times you can hear a pin drop as the girls are using this tranquil space to become absorbed with their studies.”
