Push and Glide Charity Gala
On Sunday 26th November, Push and Glide Swimming School were thrilled to host their highly anticipated Charity Swimming Gala at Northwood College for Girls School. The Charity Swimming Gala is a truly exciting event that brings together swimmers, spectators, and the community to celebrate swimming skills, charity and teamwork.
Swimmers arrived in full force determined to showcase their talent. Enthusiastic spectators entered with smiles on their faces clutching pom poms, banners and flags fully equipped to support the young athletes.
The swimmers showcased their technical abilities, treating the crowd to a captivating display of superb swimming. Backstrokers spun their arms as fast as ever, Breaststrokers glided through the water, the gruelling butterfly race forced swimmers to courageously storm down the lane and freestylers kicked so fast beating every personal best time. There were some extremely tight finishes, particularly in the nine-year-old category, which ignited the roaring crowd even further.
Every swimmer should be congratulated, not only did they put on a spectacular display of courage, hard work, skill and brilliance but exhibited the true spirit of great sportsmanship throughout the day.
The gala was a resounding success, celebrating the essence of competition, camaraderie, and personal growth. With its electrifying atmosphere, the gala marked an exhausting but truly memorable event. There is nothing like the power of sports to bring people together and foster a sense of unity.
Push & Glide Swimming School are delighted to announce the grand total raised this year is £6000.00. The money has been donated to the incredible charities Playskill and Homestart Hillingdon, both provide vital support for those in need. Push & Glide were also overwhelmed with the incredibly generous contributions donated to the Foodbank, who are beyond grateful.
It is the community of staff and students that enable the charity gala to take place. We send a heartfelt thank you to the swimmers and parents/guardians, the fantastic team of volunteers for their high-level energy and time, Northwood College for Girls for their exceptional facilities and their outstanding staff who go above and beyond always.
