National Council for Women Visit

Two representatives from the National Council for Women (NCW) visited Year 12 to showcase their work on gender equality on a national and global scale. The girls listened to how the NCW pioneers work on women’s rights, violence against women, modern trafficking and gender equality. Their work has taken them to the United Nations in New York where they spoke at international conferences on women’s issues.

As the NCW is open to all Year 12s to pursue their interest in gender equality, this networking event provided a perfect spring board. The representatives, who are both Heathfield Old Girls also imparted a fantastic insight into their university application experiences for applying to medical school and law, followed by a lively Q&A session on the UCAS process.
