Ignite: Academic Showcase

September saw our Academic Showcase celebrate the academic success and passion of our students and staff. Housed in our elegant learning space, The Alvarium, the Showcase featured students from across Senior School presenting on a variety of topics that ranged from ‘The Golden Age of Islam’ to ‘The Science of Bionics’ and ‘The Gulf Stream’s Ecological Importance’ to ‘AI in Sport’.

Our teachers go above and beyond to provide the best quality education for our students and to empower them to become the pioneers and change makers of the future. This event gave Mrs Parkes the opportunity to discuss the pedagogical benefits of working in trios; Mr Giblin explored the benefits of using different learning environments and Ms Chadburn discussed why our staff are lifelong learners.

The evening also provided the perfect platform to celebrate our ‘2022/23 High Flyers’ students, whose articles have featured in our annual Bright Spark publication, as well as our teachers, who have written features for our teaching and learning research magazine, Pioneers.
