Fieldtrip to Amersham

On Thursday 28th March, Year 12 geographers set off on their fieldtrip to Amersham to investigate aspects of the water and carbon cycle within the River Misbourne drainage basin. They conducted a range of experiments which helped them to develop practical skills and a greater understanding of how both cycles could be investigated at A Level.

The girls worked in a focused and productive way together and they could demonstrate a solid understanding of both cycles when interrogating the data back in the classroom. Year 12 fieldwork experiences help the pupils to develop key skills and develop an understanding of techniques that they may apply for their own Independent Investigation which they will begin planning after Easter.
