Chess Champions
External Club leader, Tomer Eden, advised us that Northwood College had three teams playing on 14 January in the English Chess Federation National Girls’ Schools Under 11 Semi Final, which took place at St Catherine’s School in Bramley.
The A team: Samara K, Kirthana Y and Ranya R did particularly well coming 7th out of 55 teams, only just missing out on the Final which saw the top 6 teams play.
The B team: Jivaali S, Suri M and Felicity P also did very well coming in 12th.
The C team: Maheen K, Shivani D, Aanya D and Margaret C also competed brilliantly and managed to win two of their head-to-head matches against other schools.
