Book Buzz
Our new year 7 students experienced the wonder of new books last term, as they participated in the Book Trust’s annual ‘Bookbuzz’ scheme. During form time, students were invited to watch the 16 selected Bookbuzz authors introduce their books and talk about the different genres and plot lines in each. With this information and inspiration, students selected the ‘Bookbuzz’ book they thought they would enjoy reading the most. The top 5 most popular titles this year, included:

- Dread Wood by Jennifer Killick
- Rise of the School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani
- Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun by Tolá Okogwu
- Twitch by M.G. Leonard
The Bookbuzz books arrived at the end of October, when each student was given their chosen book. We really hope year 7 have enjoyed receiving and reading their free book and that it encourages them to embark on their love of reading whilst studying at NWC senior school!
