STEP 2 – REGISTRATION
Registration Forms and Registration Fees for Year 7 entry in 2022 need to be received by Friday 12 November 2021. Details will then be sent of the assessments which will take place in December 2021, and the interviews in January 2022.
Assessment for entry at other times during the school year may also be possible if there are spaces.
Closing date for receipt of bursary applications with all supporting documentation Tuesday 30 November 2021.*
STEP 3 – ASSESSMENT
For 2022 entry, applicants will sit the ISEB Common Pre-test. This is a computer-based test with sections covering Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning, English and Maths, and it takes two and a half hours to complete. It does not require any specific preparation and will be accessible to those who suffered disruption to their learning in Year 5.
Further information for parents about the exam can be found here.
Where to Sit the ISEB Common Pre-Test
Students are able to sit the ISEB Common Pre-Test at their own junior schools (if offered), at other senior schools, or at Northwood College for Girls. The ISEB Pre-test should be completed on or before 10 December 2021.
For those girls whose schools do not offer the ISEB Pre-test, it will be possible to come to Northwood College for Girls to sit the test on one of the following dates:
Friday 3 December
Saturday 4 December
It is also possible to sit the ISEB Pre-test at any secondary school in the London 11+ Consortium for which your daughter is registered. In this case, the test must be sat at any time on or before Friday 10 December 2021. Please ensure that you still register your daughter with Northwood College for Girls, even if they are sitting the exam at another school, so that we can access your daughter’s scores.
Reference from Current School
We will contact a candidate’s current school for a reference. We are very mindful of the disruption many pupils have experienced due to school closures as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and we will be asking the primary and prep schools to outline the educational provision available during the lockdown. We would like to reassure parents that we will be carefully considering how this has impacted each individual girl to ensure that candidates will not be disadvantaged by the different levels of provision the schools were able to provide. The entrance exam is designed to spot academic potential, rather than specific knowledge.
All of our candidates will be invited to attend an interview, so that we can get to know them better and assess whether Northwood College for Girls is the right school for them.
We regret that late applications cannot be accepted.
Thursday 13, Friday 14, Monday 17, Tuesday 18, Tuesday 25 January 2022.
