Young Enterprise

Our Young Enterprise team is aiming to raise awareness for plastic pollution in the ocean, by doing so we have designed a stainless steel water bottle with our branded logo. In addition, we would like to promote hydration for all ages and by designing a bottle it helps achieve both of our companies aims. Over the last couple of weeks, our Save the Wave group has been preparing for the Hillingdon Finals at the University of West Ealing. We had been preparing our company’s report and our presentation which we would present on the day. When arrived at the university we set up our stall and talked to any customers that were visiting. We also had the judges come round, where we explained our purpose and product to them making them intrigued about our aim and bottle. Later on in the day we presented our presentation to the judges and the audience, we included what our product was, our highs and lows and our next steps.

As a result from all of this we managed to win two awards. Firstly, we won the marketing award which was a huge achievement for our team. Secondly, we were the runner ups for the best company in Hillingdon, which was a proud moment for our whole team. Our Save the Wave team is excited and ready to face any new challenges and the next round of competition.

On Tuesday 19th March, our team Escape the Mind, attended the Young Enterprise Regional Competition. It was a great day as we were able to present our product, ideas and initiatives to the judges, the Mayor and the other YE teams. After having an interview and delivering a presentation, the awards were finally announced. We were so excited to hear that we had won the competition for our region and would be advancing to the next round. We are now in stages of developing our product and ideas I preparation for the next stage in the competition!
