Year 3 Roman Day

On Thursday 14 November, Year 3 took part in a very exciting Roman Day. The Recital Hall was transformed into a vivid Roman Town, led by History Off the Page.  The girls made great effort to dress up and were ready to embark on a day in the life of a Roman. They had the opportunity to experience many hands-on activities such as making a mosaic, creating herbal remedies for poorly Romans, making clay charms and exploring with different Roman artefacts.

The day was definitely a worthwhile consolidation of all the valuable learning that girls have covered this term.  They were able to put key language into context in a fun way, whilst investigating and problem solving.

Thank you to all our parent helpers for all their support and for fully taking on their respective roles.
