Reading Gives you Wings

Our three libraries have been given an update with new displays that celebrate reading for pleasure. Library Assistant Ms Hedderman, has designed five ‘Reading Gives You Wings’ students, each with differing NWC school uniforms and flying book packs! These displays bring to life the inclusive and cross curricular nature of reading, reminding students that reading for pleasure helps them:

• achieve better grades in school
• improve concentration, vocabulary and spelling
• learn about the world and others different from them
• develop imagination, empathy and relationship skills
• improve sleep and overall wellbeing
