Numbers Day

We recently held a Number Day, where students across the whole school worked on activities to celebrate the joy of mathematics. Money was also raised for the NSPCC, to support this worthy cause.

In lessons, students undertook Number Puzzle activities, infused with a competitive element where form groups aimed to finish the tasks correctly and as quickly as possible. The event helped build up teamwork skills, as well as developing students’ interest in the fascinating world of Mathematics.

Students gathered in the Assembly Hall at lunchtime, to present and participate in mathematical activities at a variety of stalls, involving number patterns and sequences, as well as, types of numbers called Happy Numbers!

Students really enjoyed the event and are set to take this rejuvenated enthusiasm into their Maths lessons.
