MHA Communities
Year 12 students have been continuing to volunteer weekly with MHA in Northwood, attending their Wednesday lunch club and enjoying engaging with our local older adults.
This multigenerational work fosters meaningful connections, reducing loneliness among the elderly while enhancing students’ empathy and communication skills.
By participating, students develop a sense of social responsibility and gain valuable experience in community service. The charity benefits from the students’ energy and commitment, enriching the lives of its members through intergenerational interaction. This collaboration creates a positive impact for both students and MHA, strengthening community bonds.
MHA Communities (Northwood) proudly celebrates its 27th anniversary this year, made possible by the generosity and ongoing support of the local community. To mark this milestone, the organization is hosted a musical evening on Wednesday 2 April at Northwood Methodist Church.
The event featured performances by choirs and musicians from Northwood College, the London School of Theology, and the Harrow Apollo Male Choir, along with talented soloists.
This special evening provided a wonderful celebration of music and community spirit in support of MHA’s vital work.
