French Week 2025

French Crêpe Sale

On Tuesday 4 March, the queue on the Terrace with students buying our home-made crêpes as part of French Week was exceedingly large. All money raised was donated to the French Charity – Les Restos Du Coeur – an organisation which targets homeless and those with a low or a very low income. The association also helps people to find housing and supports other projects all across France. It was a roaring success not only because of the delicious crêpes but also because we raised some money for this worthy cause. Thank you to all those who donated!

Un petit déjeuner à la française!

Although our French Breakfast – organised as part of French Week – didn’t start until 8:00 a.m on Wednesday 5 March – girls had started to queue up at 7:45 a.m! With trays of pains au chocolat, croissants, jus d’orange and creamy chocolat chaud and background French music – who could blame them? It was a super event and so lovely to hear the girls order their breakfast en français! All money raised was donated to Les Restos du Coeur.

French Chalk Messaging

On Thursday 6 March, girls armed with coloured chalks wrote their favourite French sentences on the terrace slabs as part of French Week. It was lovely to read their French messages every time we crossed the terrace and they remained there until it rained!

French Fun For French Week

As part of French week, we all enjoyed a superb Blooket Quiz – a quiz all about France and French Culture and some messages from a couple of our French alumni. On Friday lunchtime students enjoyed the great French game of Pétanque on the astro pitch! C’était amusant!!!!
