Change Lives by Filling Your Money-House for the British Asian Trust!

May we remind you to fill your British Asian Trust money-box houses over the festive period as this important cause is very close to all of our hearts. Since its establishment in 2007, the BAT has positively impacted the lives of four million disadvantaged people.

The particular BAT project that we support is the Childline India Foundation which is dedicated to the protection of the most vulnerable children in South Asia. These are children who are living within the most horrifying abusive environments and have nowhere to go and no one to talk to.  The children are of similar age to your daughters, but the difference is that for these children every day is a struggle.

Childline works with children who are homeless, victims of emotional, sexual and physical abuse, subject to child labour and child trafficking.  We want each child to have a voice to talk to and someone they can turn to for care and protection. Childline operates a telephone helpline for children in distress and was the first 24-hour, toll free, phone outreach service for children in South Asia.   Childline receives an average two million calls in a year from children who need to be rescued from their abusive environment.

Our Junior School Christmas Jumper day raised vital funds for the charity so may we thank everyone who donated. We have already received lots of filled money-box houses from the girls who are thrilled to be able to help. May we say a special thank you to Hafsa Sheikh in Year 3 who managed to squeeze £70 in to her money-box! Fantastic effort Hafsa, we are very grateful. The help that you and your daughters are giving will truly change lives.

May I also remind you that a group of our parents are organising a Glitter Ball which will be held at The Landmark, London on 19th September 2020. If you would like to find out more about this exciting event please do contact Neepa, Sarnjit or Sapna on 07747 180174.

We thank you in anticipation of your support.
