Celebrating Diversity!

Earlier this term, our Senior School’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) team took the assembly stage to deliver an informative presentation to honour Pride Week.

The team highlighted a collection of pioneering queer individuals from different professional areas that correlate to the literature and drama, sports, politics, and STEM aspects of our school curriculum. To close the presentation, Year 8 student Aarya recited an original poem titled, ‘Pride in Every Voice’.

“We gather in colour, in hope, in pride, 

Honouring stories walking side by side. 

Some voices are thunder, some gentle as rain, 

Together we rise, again and again. 

From city streets to quiet hearts,

Each adds a chorus, each plays a part.

We lift up banners, we sing along,

Different and vibrant, together we’re strong.

Hands joined in courage, hearts beating as one,

Many voices unite till justice is won.

Pride is the anthem, unity the call,

One front together,embracing all.”
