Celebrating Classics Evening
Earlier this month we celebrated Classics Week with an assembly, form activities and lots of competitions, but the highlight was our Classical Symposium.
A huge number of girls participated with performances of Greek myths from Years 7 and 9.
Year 11 Latin explained the joy of reading Tacitus at GCSE. Our Sixth Form Classicists placed Circe the witch on trial, entertained us with a scene from Aristophanes and gave informative talks on their chosen topic areas. Those studying Greek in Years 8 and 9 taught the audience the Greek alphabet.
It was a fantastic evening, made even better with delicious Mediterranean inspired nibbles. Well done to all who took part!
