Cadbury World Trip

In October, our Sixth Form Business, Economics, and Religion, Philosophy, and Ethics students set off on a much anticipated trip to Cadbury World in Birmingham. Where they spent the day learning about how Cadbury became part of Mondelez International, and considered business ownership, ethical treatment of staff, and, marketing and catering to a wide array of customers across the world.

As an exceptionally successful multinational business – Mondelez International are the global leaders in biscuit sales, and second in chocolate -with an impressive product portfolio including Daim, Oreo, Philadelphia, and of course, Cadbury; our students were able to conceptualise theories they have studied in a more accessible manner. The students also had the opportunity to look at the history of the cocoa bean, and try their hand at tempering chocolate (not to mention eating a lot too!)
