Books, Characters, and Creativity: A World Book Day to Remember!
The theme for this year’s World Book Day was ‘Read Your Way’ and the Junior School embraced it with enthusiasm.
The opportunity to dress up as favourite book characters and authors brought an extra spark of excitement to World Book Day. The costumes were truly fantastic, with girls bringing iconic literary figures and beloved characters to life.
It wasn’t just about the outfits – it was a brilliant chance for students to showcase their knowledge and passion for reading in a fun and imaginative way.
Alongside the vibrant costumes, there was an impressive display of classwork, where students focused on particular authors or book characters. The projects were full of rich detail, reflecting the girls’ deep engagement and enthusiasm for the stories and characters they had studied.
The National Book Token Design competition added another layer of enjoyment to World Book Day, with some truly fantastic entries. The students’ creativity and talent shone through in every submission, reflecting their deep love for books and their passion for inspiring others to read.
Each design was a unique masterpiece! We wish all the girls who participated the best of luck, hoping that their designs may even end up on a National Book Token in the future!
