A Level Results Day 2025: outstanding set of results with over 56% of grades awarded A*/A

NWC students, parents and staff had much to celebrate this morning with 56% of this year’s A Level and EPQ grades awarded at grades A*/A.  Head, Rebecca Brown, said: “We are unashamedly ambitious for each and every Northwood student, so I am thrilled that the most common A Level grade this year has been grade A.  With 80% of today’s total grades being A*-B, and 97% of the grades at A*-C, these results are a true testament to the dedication and hard work demonstrated every day by our students and teachers alike.”

True advocates for girls’ education, Northwood College teachers are passionate and innovative educators who ignite intellectual curiosity, and unlock an insatiable thirst for discovery, whilst stretching and challenging each student to be her very best self.

Mrs Brown commented: “We have very high expectations for ourselves and for all our girls, which is why we were particularly proud to announce last month that we have been shortlisted for the fourth consecutive year for the Independent Schools of the Year Awards. Our brilliant students, who immerse themselves in their subjects and always motivate and champion one another to excel, have justifiably been rewarded today with accolades including 92% of Mathematics grades being awarded at grades A*-B,  83% of our History grades at A*/A, and 75% of our Geography grades at A*/A.

I am delighted to see the humanities subjects excel, as they equip young women with the valuable skills applicable to a far-reaching range of academic and professional paths. Critical thinking, verbal and oral communication, research, analysis, an understanding of diverse perspectives, and the ability to form and articulate reasoned arguments are all crucial aptitudes for success in the future workplace and leadership roles.”

Congratulations are extended to Northwood College’s Arts and Languages Departments who celebrated 100% A*/A grades with their A Level Textiles, Music, French and Latin students.
