A LEVEL RESULTS DAY 2024
Head, Rebecca Brown: “We are unashamedly ambitious for all our students at Northwood, so I am delighted to announce that 53% of this year’s Year 13 grades are at A* and A and 75% of the grades are at A* – B.”
With 100% of grades for subjects, such as, Physics, Further Maths, Art, Latin and Religious Studies at A* and A grades, the results are a true testament to the dedication and hard work demonstrated every day by our students and teachers alike.” Mrs Brown and her team are also looking forward to welcoming the Year 11 students back into school next week to celebrate their GCSE results. The cohort will have the opportunity to celebrate their Additional Maths qualification results, also received by the school today and revealing that 100% of the students have achieved the top score.
Mrs Brown said: “We have very high expectations for ourselves and for all our girls, which is why we were particularly proud to announce last month that we have been shortlisted for the third consecutive year for the Independent Schools of the Year Awards.”

Francesca (A*/A*/A*/A*), pictured left with her parents, will be going on to study Economics and Finance at University of Leeds. Francesca said: “I am very happy, surprised and relieved. I am excited and looking forward to going to University. I would like to wholeheartedly thank all my teachers and my parents.”
Francesca’s mum added: “Francesca joined Northwood College at the age of three and this is the perfect way to complete her 15 years. It is a phenomenal achievement, and I am really happy for her. These results are a true testament to her hard work and the incredible support she has had from her teachers and the wider Northwood College community. A huge thank you to everyone at Northwood for getting her to this point.”
Mili (A*/A/A), pictured right, is set to study Classics and Italian at the University of Oxford. Mili said: “This is not sinking in yet, I am quite overwhelmed. I am very relieved and I am very much looking forward to going on to University. I want to thank all my teachers at Northwood for their dedication and support. I will miss them all.”
Kaya (A*/A*/A), pictured with her parents and sister, will be going on to study Chemistry at Warwick University. Kaya said: “I want to give a huge thank you to the Sixth Form team, all my teachers and the whole school.” Kaya’s sister commented: “I am so proud and really excited to see her go to university, I know she will thrive”. Kaya’s mum and dad said in unison: “We are so very proud of Kaya, and want to thank everyone at Northwood College for their support.”
Shreya (A*/A/A), pictured with her parents, will be going on to study Law at Queen Mary’s University. Shreya said: “I am so grateful to everyone at my school, they have supported me since I joined in Year 7. This is definitely the best environment I could have been in and I am sad to leave.”
Shreya’s dad said: “Seven years ago we visited this school, and others in the area, and we definitely made the right choice; this school has been amazing. Shreya has absolutely thrived. If you are thinking of sending your daughter to Northwood College, don’t think twice, it is an amazing place!”
Shreya’s mum added: “I am relieved and happy. This is so well deserved as Shreya has worked extremely hard.”
Anaiya (A*/A/B), pictured with her parents, will be going on to study Law at Southampton University. Anaiya said: “I am so happy and relieved. I would like to thank all my teachers and my family for their endless support.”
Mum added: “We are absolutely delighted and so very proud. Thank you so much Northwood College.”
Amba (A/A/B), pictured right, will be going on to study Fine Art at the University of the Arts London, said: “I feel so excited about my next step. A massive thank you to all my teachers for helping me get here.”
Nagad (A/A/B), pictured with her mum, will be going on to study Law at Southampton University. Nagad said: “I am so happy that I have met my university offer with all the help from my teachers. I am very excited about the future and studying Law as this has been a passion of mine for many years. I want to thank my school and my family for all their support.”
Nagad’s mum added: “I am so very happy and relieved. It has been a long journey, ten years of hard work. I have two other daughters who graduated from Northwood College and I would like to thank everyone here for all daughters’ successes.”
Ramya (B/C/C), pictured with her parents and cousin, will be going on to study Business Management, Law and Economics at SOAS University of London. Ramya said: “I am really happy and I want to thank everyone at my school, I will not lose contact with you all, I will be back to visit!”
Ramya’s mum added: “Northwood College is part of our lives, Ramya has grown up here. I am so grateful to everyone, you are all angels.”
Ramya’s dad added: “I am absolutely speechless, we will always cherish our memories of Northwood College. I cannot thank everyone enough for all the amazing things you do for the students.”
Mrs Brown concludes: “We will certainly miss our Year 13, they have worked tirelessly throughout their whole school careers, and I am delighted that they can now look forward to taking their well-deserved places at renowned institutions, such as, University of Oxford, University of Warwick, University of Nottingham, Cardiff University, University of Birmingham, University of Exeter and University of Leeds, where they will go on to study subjects ranging from Law to Fine Art, Economics to Chemistry, and Pharmacy to Classics.
Our students are NWC girls for life, and we look forward to sharing their future successes with them; I was particularly thrilled today to receive the results of four of last year’s leavers, who we went on to support with their applications for medical courses, and who have now been accepted on to their chosen medical and veterinary schools.”
