On Friday 6 February, Sabrina and Emma from the GDST Alumnae Network came to talk to our Year 12 students during our Enrich and Extend period.
The Alumnae Network is a valuable resource which can be accessed by all GDST “old girls”. There are around 65,000 contacts, both in the UK and abroad, and these contacts can provide very valuable advice to our girls. For example, the Network can put girls in touch with an alumna who has attended a particular university, or who is following a particular career.
In this way, the girls can ask questions and hear a first-hand perspective of what a certain university is like. Not only that, but the Alumnae network also offers many opportunities for internships and work experience in companies such as Nomura and Aberdeen Asset Management.
Being part of such a large and vibrant Alumnae Network is a real benefit of being a GDST girl, and we are sure that our students will be very keen to make the most of the opportunities it offers! Be sure to remind your daughter, if she is in the Sixth Form to register via the GDST website
