Congratulations to Year 13!
The Year 13 girls are currently preparing for their A2 examinations and have every reason to be motivated to do their very best.
This year we have once again seen outstanding success in their applications to top universities and colleges with the girls holding offers from Oxford, LSE, Bristol, Durham, UCL and Edinburgh, to name but a few.
In fact, a total of 81 girls received offers from Russell Group universities for a wide range of courses, many after a rigorous selection procedure of additional tests, challenging interviews and group assessments, in addition to their UCAS applications. Six girls have offers to study Medicine and the only girl to apply this year for Dentistry has also been successful.
Girls are also holding offers on a range of highly competitive courses such as Law, PPE, Economics, Business Management, Speech and Language Therapy, Music, Pharmacy and Optometry. Seven girls are holding ‘unconditional’ offers, meaning that the universities were so impressed by their applications and so confident in their abilities that they decided to make the offer of a place without the usual ‘conditions’ of achieving specific grades.
Reflecting the diverse talents of our girls, we have also seen success in applications to courses in Fashion Management and Marketing, along with the Foundation course in Art and Design, the latter from Loughborough which is widely considered as one of the most competitive in the country.
We are also delighted that one of our girls has been successful in her application to Dutch universities and we hope that this will inspire next year’s applicants to consider spreading their wings a little further than the UK. Our congratulations go to all of the girls and we look forward to sharing their success with them on A-level results day in August.
