Christmas on the Brain
On Thursday 14 December the Year 8s were off timetable in the morning for Christmas on the Brain.
They worked extremely well together, developing their thinking skills and problem-solving. Together they applied creative thinking, lateral thinking, collaborative thinking and critical thinking to a variety of puzzles and games.
The morning included decorating a Christmas tree out of bits random office supplies, solving a murder mystery on Christmas Day, inventing a new product for Christmas, working out why the sky was full of tiny bits of floating silver pieces and many more fun activities. The girls were resilient, showing persistence, initiative and determination to work out all the different puzzles. They had to be flexible with their ideas and communicate clearly in their groups. All in all, it was an excellent morning.
