The Year 7 Netball A Team have been very successful this season, coming runners up in the Borough tournament to St Helen’s.
They also participated in the Borough League and remain unbeaten this season; qualifying convincingly through to the Borough final where they faced Douay Martyrs. The game was gripping from the start, with the score at 11-11 after 32 minutes of play. They then went into extra time and Monica Patel, under intense pressure, scored a long distance shot to win the game 12-11. Well done to Year 7 for winning the League.
The Year 8 Netball A Team have also had an incredibly successful netball season. They recently came third in the GDST Condover Netball Weekend Tournament and fourth in the Hillingdon Borough Netball Tournament. Having won all of their matches in their pool and drawing against St Helen’s, they made it through to the League semi-finals. The match against Bishopshalt was very tight, resulting in a draw at full time. Northwood College went on to score a goal in extra time, securing their place in the finals. The girls played well in the finals, getting more and more goals in as the game progressed but ended up losing to Swakeleys 15-9. Huge congratulations to the girls for securing silver medals.
The Year 11 Netball A Team have also had a successful season; they won 6 games, drew 1 and lost 1 in their pool. This secured them second place overall. Well done to the Year 11s for winning silver medals.
The Year 10 Netball A Team were undefeated in their Borough pool, winning each game with a convincingly wide margin. Congratulations to all team members for winning the League.
