Junior School Eco Day

Junior School

Wednesday 29 March saw an ‘invasion’ of animals and large quantities of green in Junior school classes from Nursery to Year 6.

This was all part of an animal and/or green theme mufti-day with contributions going to St Tiggywinkles, a hospital and rescue centre for British wildlife, for which we raised an amazing £260!

The day started with an assembly where Mrs Annetts explained the timetable planned for the day as well as showing a film of some of the wonderful wildlife that can be found in the U.K.  Girls (and staff!) participated in a wide range of eco related activities: a ‘bear hunt’, quizzes, listening to stories, learning about St Tiggywinkles,  finding out about honey bees from a local beekeeper, making animal models from recycled rubbish, watching films about animals and having fun!

What will we do for eco day 2018?
