Model United Nations

Twelve girls from Years 10 – 13 attended Croydon High MUN (Model United Nations), representing the delegations of Fiji, India and the UK.

For many it was their first conference. All delegates participated in their committees, debating topics ranging from protecting civilians in the South Sudanese Conflict, corporate exploitation of natural resources and protecting linguistic minorities.

Four delegates had their resolutions chosen for debate and two passed in their committees. It was an excellent day and both Ms Guthrie and Ms Annetts were most impressed by all our delegates.

To top off a superb conference, one of our delegates in the Security Council was awarded a certificate for Highly Commended Delegate for representing the UK – Shreya Katwa! Shreya researched and wrote an excellent resolution on the South Sudanese Conflict which was debated clause by clause and passed.
