UKMT Senior Maths Challenge
On Tuesday 8 November, Year 12 and 13 took part in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge.
The UKMT Individual Mathematics Challenges are deep thinking, intriguing multiple choice question papers, which are designed to stimulate interest in Mathematics. The Senior Challenge is aimed at 16-19 year olds studying Mathematics and as such all Year 12 and Year 13 girls who study Mathematics at A Level participate.
The top 60% of students nationally receive gold, silver or bronze certificates. The results are expected within the next couple of weeks. Historically Northwood College girls are awarded certificates reflecting high mathematical ability. Top performing students nationally are invited to take part in follow on rounds, such as Kangaroo or Olympiads.
