Y8 Visit to Amersham Field Centre
On Friday 10 June, Year 8 visited Amersham Field Centre.
Their task was to compare coniferous and deciduous areas of woodland which were located a convenient distance away from one another.
The girls worked in groups using suitable equipment to investigate the plant frequency, diversity, number of invertebrates, soil PH, canopy cover, air temperature and light intensity. They were very productive and worked hard on writing up some of their findings. They did so well we had spare time for a game of hide and seek in the woods.
Back at school, the girls are now in the process of completing the write up of their findings. Work will be displayed in C1 and C2 classrooms and the Briary downstairs corridor in due course.
Thank you to Mrs Spicer for accompanying this trip.
