Northwood College Year 6 and Year 7 students have been extremely busy as they begin to travel the distance from Northwood College to Kindwitwi in Tanzania. This is a huge challenge and the girls’ response has been fantastic.

They have been attending extra clubs before school, at lunch time and after school to raise their individual and team totals.

Already, they have swum 6,458 lengths of the swimming pool and run 3,958 laps of the astro turf, covering a total distance of 803 kilometres!

Year 7 and 8 are working to raise money for the Better Lives charity which is dedicated to improving the quality of life for families in Tanzania.

The top five students at the moment are Aasiyah Alloo, Asiyah Merali Dewji, Maansi Kalirai, Aleena Dewji and Keya Patel. Team 3 are currently in the lead with 58 kilometres covered in total.

Energy levels have been extremely impressive but there is still a long way to go. The question is, which team will travel the furthest?
