Build Character and Resilience with the National Citizen Service!

Sixth Form

On Tuesday 29 September, we were visited by representatives from the National Citizen Service.

This is an exciting programme that girls can take part in at the end of Year 11 and into Year 12.  Many of our sixth formers have participated and have enjoyed the chance to learn new skills and meet new people.

The programme involves students from all different backgrounds attending an outward bound residential during the school holidays.  On their return, the students take part in a community based project so that they can give back to those in their local community.

On Tuesday lunchtime, NCS set up a stall in the Year 12 common room and girls were able to register their interest for their programme.  NCS is fun, exciting and a way to make new friends and give to those who are less fortunate.  It is a great way to build character and resilience, and to develop the team working skills that are so vital for future career success.

It is not too late for Year 12 girls to sign up for the October half term programme!  Girls in Year 11 will be able to take part in the summer holidays.
