Junior School Class Assembly

Junior School

On Wednesday 30 September, 6D hosted the first Junior School Class Assembly for this academic year.

Parents and members of the Senior School were invited to attend and were astounded at the coverage of the diverse curriculum that the girls experience in the Junior School.  Our guests were welcomed in five languages - English, French, German, Latin and Spanish.  Each girl spoke audibly and told us what they were looking forward to in Year 6, all the girls contributed by scripting their own lines.

Following a recital of Ted Hughes’ poem “Leaves”, Aleena Dewji confidently read out her own version entitled “The Blood Red Apple”.  The assembly was rounded off with a toe-tapping and robust performance of a medley of war songs, with the girls packing their kit-bags and showing true British values at their very best!  Well done for a stellar performance 6D!
