All Northwood Old Girls will become a member of the GDST Alumnae Network, which is a unique and vibrant community of nearly 60,000 former students and staff of the 23 schools and two academies of the GDST.

The GDST Alumnae Network brings together alumnae from all over the world to facilitate connections and professional networks for current and former pupils alike.

The Northwood College Old Girls' Association are planning to create an Alumnae newsletter sharing good news stories from former pupils and informing on new developments at the school. If you would like to get involved with this project please contact the Chair of the OGA, Sonal Teli, please email

How to get involved

1. Come back and visit the school

We hold events and reunions throughout the year at Northwood. Our Summer event for Alumni will be announced in the weeks following Easter. If you’re not able to attend an event, do get in touch and we’ll be delighted to show you around the school another time.

2. Become friends with the School on Facebook

Send a friend request to the alumnae only Facebook page. Keep up to date with news from the school and get back in touch with friends

3. Tell us what you’re doing now

It’s really useful for us to know where you’re working and what you’re doing now. We often ask ‘old girls’ to come back to the school to speak to current pupils about their career and ask them to offer advice. You may also want to share your experiences with other GDST pupils and alumnae through the GDST Alumnae Network

4. Follow the school on Twitter

With daily updates on school life, this is the place to go to keep up to date! @NorthwoodGDST

5. Get back in touch with your classmates

We offer a ‘find a friend’ service to put you back in touch with classmates that you may have lost contact with over the years. If we have their contact details, we’ll send them a message on your behalf asking them to get in touch (we will never directly give out personal contact details).

6. You can put us in touch with someone else

Do you have friends who don’t hear from the School? Ask them to send us their contact details or fill in the update form so that we can make sure that they receive news and invitations to events and reunions

7. Leave a gift to the school in your will

Remembering the School in your will is a simple way of supporting future High School girls and ensuring that the school continues to thrive. Whatever its size, a legacy directly benefits the School, its pupils and staff. Please email for more information.

Relationships are excellent throughout the school, which is indeed a happy place: the pupils are very proud of it and feel a strong sense of belonging.
